AX-400Overview
The AX-400 is an anaesthesia workstation sized for general theatres, district hospitals and day-surgery units. It delivers anaesthesia through open, semi-closed and closed breathing circuits for adult and paediatric patients, and its integrated ventilator runs VCV, PCV, SIMV-VC, SIMV-PC and pressure support, with tidal volumes from 15 ml to 1500 ml at 4 to 100 breaths per minute.
An 8.4-inch touchscreen shows airway pressure, flow and volume alongside the settings, with end-tidal CO2 and further gas monitoring available as options. Fresh gas is set on mechanical flow controls with dual flow tubes, which keeps low-flow anaesthesia precise, and the autoclavable breathing system has a leak rate of 65 ml/min. The AX-400 shares its platform with the AX-500, so theatres running both can use the same accessories and training.
