A5 / A7 Anaesthesia Machine

The A5 and A7 are anaesthesia workstations built on the same compact platform, with the A7 carrying the widest choice of ventilation modes. The ventilator covers VCV, PCV, SIMV-VC, SIMV-PC, PRVC, SIMV-PRVC, PSV/CPAP and PSVPro, a pressure-support mode that adjusts support to the patient's own effort. Tidal volume runs from 15 ml to 1500 ml, and the integrated breathing circuit with fresh gas compensation keeps delivered volumes accurate for both adults and children.

An 8.4-inch touchscreen shows up to five waveforms at once, with pressure-volume and flow-volume loops for tracking lung mechanics during the case. A three-slot module bay takes AG+O2, AG, BIS, CO2 and neuromuscular transmission (NMT) modules, and anaesthetic agents are identified automatically. The 0–15 L/min dual-channel mechanical flowmeter allows a wide flow range, the auxiliary common gas outlet (ACGO) takes a disposable circuit for infectious patients, and an AGSS port protects the machine from the hospital's negative-pressure line. The backup battery runs for up to 6 hours, the machine stores 2,000 setting logs and 60 hours of data, and it connects to an anaesthesia information management system (AIMS).
