Electric Dialysis Chair for Children

Overview

This electric dialysis chair is built for children who sit through three to four hours of haemodialysis several times a week, where comfort and quick repositioning both matter. The backrest and leg rest are adjusted with electric motors, controlled from a handset, so a nurse can change the patient's position without lifting or cranking. The chair moves between upright, reclined and leg-raised positions to suit cannulation, treatment and recovery, and the armrests adjust to hold the access arm steady and level through the session.

Emergency positioning lowers the patient's head and raises the legs quickly if blood pressure drops during treatment, the most common complication on dialysis. Contoured, cushioned upholstery spreads pressure over long sessions and wipes clean between patients, and the IV pole mounts on the chair for saline and medication lines. The chair rolls on castors, so it can be moved for cleaning or turned to the machine.

The seat, backrest and leg rest are scaled for children, so smaller patients sit properly supported rather than sliding in an adult chair, and the armrests hold the fistula or catheter arm at the right height for a child.

Medix East Africa supplies the Electric Dialysis Chair for Children with pre-installation site assessment, delivery, installation and commissioning by our own biomedical engineers, and acceptance testing before handover. Operator training is delivered to the staff who will use it day to day, and technical training is available for your biomedical department.

After handover we hold genuine spare parts for the equipment we supply, run preventive maintenance under annual contract, and respond to faults across Kenya and the wider East African region. Pricing is issued by formal quotation, because it depends on configuration, quantity, delivery terms and warranty.
