NC5 Vital Sign MonitorNC5

Overview

The NC5 is a vital signs monitor for wards, clinics and emergency triage that adds 3-lead ECG to blood pressure, SpO2, pulse rate and temperature. It works both as a quick spot-check device on rounds and as a continuous monitor for a patient who needs watching. SpO2 accepts three sensor technologies, and an infrared ear thermometer docks on the side.

The 8-inch colour screen (800 x 600) shows up to two waveforms, and a double alarm light is visible from all around the bed. The NC5 keeps 160 hours of graphic and tabular trends, 200 alarm events, 2,000 NIBP measurements and 48 hours of waveforms. It links to the Star8800 central station and to hospital systems over HL7, and two USB ports take a mouse, keyboard or printer. The battery runs for at least 8 hours in normal use, and the unit weighs 2.5 kg.

Medix East Africa supplies the NC5 Vital Sign Monitor with pre-installation site assessment, delivery, installation and commissioning by our own biomedical engineers, and acceptance testing before handover. Operator training is delivered to the staff who will use it day to day, and technical training is available for your biomedical department.

After handover we hold genuine spare parts for the equipment we supply, run preventive maintenance under annual contract, and respond to faults across Kenya and the wider East African region. Pricing is issued by formal quotation, because it depends on configuration, quantity, delivery terms and warranty.
